Perennial Gardens is a family-owned garden center, landscape design studio, and floral atelier on Route 22 in Bedford, New York. Founded in 1946 by Gus Alvarez — a Spanish immigrant and World War II veteran — the business has remained on the same property for eighty years, now in its third generation under Sean Alvarez.
We operate three integrated divisions from one Bedford address. Our landscape construction team designs and builds estate-scale gardens, patios, stone walls, planting schemes, and drainage systems for properties across Westchester County and Fairfield County. Our garden center stocks premium nursery plants, native perennials, seasonal annuals, and supplies year-round, with guidance from staff who understand northern Westchester's soil, deer pressure, and microclimates. Our floral design studio composes seasonal arrangements for homes, offices, weddings, and events — delivered same-day throughout our service area.
